Autograph Appraisals are a specialty that Estoric performs for discriminating clients. We offer three types of appraisals:
- Insurance Replacement Value: This appraisal provides a value equal to what it would cost to replace an existing item in your collection or inventory. Retail Value.
- Fair Market Value: This appraisal provides a value as to what the specific item or items would sell for at a well-publicized auction.
- Liquidation Value: This appraisal usually used in Bankruptcy action is the price the item would bring at a quick sale.
All of our appraisals follow Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, commonly referred to by the acronym USPAP, which are considered the quality control standards applicable for real property, personal property, intangibles, and business valuation appraisal analysis and reports in the United States and its territories.
Stanley Klos has been a member of the UACC and Manuscript Society for over 15 years. His reference library on autographs and ephemera includes thousands of books and catalogs. In addition to personal property appraising, Mr. Klos has held or still holds real property state appraising licenses in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Louisiana. His formal education in appraising has been ongoing beginning with a MAI capitalization course in 1979 to his recent completion of his Louisiana Real Estate Commission Post Licensing Certificate in 2012.
